Big Day Out 2026
The St Matthew’s Church 11-16s youth group are having a Big Day Out to Thetford, on Saturday 4th July. We would love you to join us for a day of fun, including youth-friendly Bible sessions. We will be based in Cloverfield Community Church, Thetford, where Peter Herbert will be speaking to us, vicar and past member of St Matthew's. We will also visit Thetford Forest for our activities.
It’s a great chance for the young people to get to grips with some age-appropriate Bible teaching and build friendships with each other. It is especially helpful for those in school year 6 who are invited to join for this trip as a way to settle in and get to know the group that they will be old enough to join in September.
Please drop your child off at St Matthew’s Church carpark for a prompt 10.15am departure. We will travel by minibus and aim to return there by 5.30pm.
The price of the day is £20, which covers all travel, booking the hall and activities. We're asking that you bring a packed lunch with you. If the cost is too much please just contribute whatever you can easily afford. To book, please pay and fill out the form on this page by 7th June 2026. If you are booking multiple places the form can be filled out as many times as needed.
You can make an online bank transfer with the reference 'YBDO26' to 'ST MATTHEWS PCC', 65255667, 08-92-99, or use the contactless reader or cash envelopes by the church entrance.
(if your contact details will be different during the Big Day Out please put this in the extra info section in case we need to contact you urgently)
